10 March 2010 → Polish travel experts to visit Minsk, Minsk oblast
Polish travel companies are set to visit Minsk and the Minsk oblast and get familiar with their tourist potential, BelTA learnt from Elena Brok, deputy head of the physical education, sports and tourism department of the Minsk oblast executive committee.
The visit will take place on 11-14 March, according to Elena Brok. The Polish guests will take part in a sightseeing tour of the Belarusian capital, the Silichi and Logoisk ski resorts, the Pervomaisky and Dudinka-city tourist complexes, and the recreation facilities. The Polish delegation is set to visit the Minsk, Smolevichi, Volozhin, Borisov and Nesvizh regions.
The Polish companies are interested in the Radziwills’ historic heritage (the famous Nesvizh castle, Farny church, and a park), and the sites of the 1812 Napoleon War battles - the village of Studenka and Brilevo field.
"We want to show all these sites to the Polish travel companies so that they could offer them to Polish tourists,” Elena Brok said.
She stressed that it will be the first visit of such kind in recent years (the delegation will include 34 specialists from various regions of Poland). Apart from sightseeing, the Polish delegation is scheduled to partake in a round-table conference with representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus and the Minsk oblast executive committee.
