17 March 2010 → Minsk to host К-1 World Max 2010 kickboxing tournament

The best kickboxers of the Eastern Europe are set to take part in the К-1 World Max 2010 tournament in Minsk on 19 March.
On 18 March the participants are set to undergo the official weigh-in and take part in a photo session.

The weight of the fighters should be no more than 70kg. The athletes who fail to meet this requirement will have to get their weight down on the spot.

All in all, eight fighters will partakeinn the tournament. The winner will advance to the K-1 World Max Final 16. Taking part in the tournament will be Belarusian fighter Vitaly Gurkov, eight-time Muay Thai world champion.

The tournament will be held at the Sports Palace. It is the first kickboxing competition of such kind in Belarus, and it will be supervised by the experts of the K-1 corporation (Japan). The Minsk tournament is organized by the K-1 representative in Europe Donatas Simanaitis, the Belarusian kickboxing and Muay Thai federation and Minsk-based sports club Patriot.
