Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) will deliver 200 MTZ-92 tractors to Egypt. The contract has been signed in Egypt’s Helwan, BelTA learnt from the embassy of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The contract was signed by Dragoljub Svonja, the executive director of Belarus-Agropanonka Company which is a MTZ official dealer in Africa, and general director of Helwan Company for Diesel Engines General Mamdoh Hamoda who represented the interests of the government of Egypt. Highly professional and coordinated efforts of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Mikhnevch and Minsk Tractor Works helped won the prestigious tender announced in 2007. MTZ was competing with 10 companies from Europe, Asia and CIS, the diplomatic mission stressed. Executing the tender contract will be part of the programme to export 2,900-3,000 MTZ tractors to the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2008. |
