International Music Festival “Minsk spring - 2008” will open in Minsk on April, 3. Until the end of April 29 concerts will be given on the stage of the Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. The 26th festival is devoted to the 70th anniversary of Belarussian State Philharmonic Society.

This year, guests from 14 countries are expected to attend the festival (in 2007 guests from 6 countries took part at the festival). Young talented musicians and artists as well as famous performers will take part at the festival.

The concert “Masterpieces of World Organ Art” will open the festival. The audience will enjoy people’s artist of Russia violinist Liana Isakadze, Gintaras Rinkevichius, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, the founder of Lithuanian symphonic orchestra and his daughter pianist Ruta Rinkevichius, jazz band from Poland, and other famous musicians.

On April, 10 there will be an evening of poetess Bella Akhmadulina. On April, 27 choral music concert of Slovenian band will take place at the Small Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society.
