On June 24-26, Minsk will host an international seminar of representatives of education and science trade unions. Attending the session will be representatives of 13 countries. Participants of the seminar will discuss the role of trade union organizations in formation and implementation of social policy at universities. Representatives of trade unions of Belarus, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan will arrive in Belarus to get familiar with the Belarusian higher education system and to share experience of the higher education system development in their countries. It will be the first meeting of this kind. The participants of the workshop will be able to discuss not only the organization of higher education in various countries but to consider student problems. Within the framework of the seminar, plenary sessions, round tables, work of various sections will be organized. Rectors of Belarus State University and the Maxim Tank Belarus State Pedagogical University will hold receptions. Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Leonid Kozik and officials of the Education Ministry of Belarus will take part in the opening of the seminar on June 24. |
