An international graphic arts exhibition Art-line will open in Minsk in the National Library of Belarus on April 24, BelTA learnt from artist Fyodor Yastreb, the head of the gallery-exhibition department of the library. According to him, the exhibition will occupy three galleries of the National Library of Belarus – Rakurs, Labirint and Artium. The exposition will include over 160 works from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Austria, Italy, Germany, Armenia, Serbia and the Baltic states. Art-line is Fyodor Yastreb’s new project. The works to be showcased at the exhibition were selected at the international contest when they were assessed by a competent jury – well-known artists and art critics from Belarus, Serbia, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Italy. The exhibition and the contest will be held on the yearly basis. Fyodor Yastreb noted that the major goal of the project is to introduce new names, demonstrate the graphic arts perspectives, its potential, opportunities, establish new creative contacts. Artists from Turkey and Japan are eager to partake at the next contest and exhibition. The exhibition Art-line will stay open till June 5. |
