It is necessary to expand the cooperation of Minsk and Changchun in the health care system, Chairman of the Minsk City Council Mikhail Pavlov noted during his meting with the Changchun delegation led by Vice Mayor Qian Longsheng in Minsk. “Minsk has a lot of positive experience in the health care system but we would like to gain your experience and, mainly, it concerns the alternative medicine,” the Minsk Mayor noted. At present, Minsk has some special clinics which use the Chinese alternative medicine. However, their number is insufficient, Mikhail Pavlov said. There is a need to establish contacts between big clinics of Minsk and Changchun, the official added. The Chairman of the Minsk City Council also showed interest in boosting the bilateral ties in trade. “Minsk and Changchun are big industrial centres and the cooperation between their companies should develop more active,” the Mayor of the Belarusian capital is sure. He proposed to set up joint ventures to produce light industry’s goods and household appliances. According to Mikhail Pavlov, the cooperation in education could be fruitful as well. “Minsk has several schools which study the Chinese language and we would like to establish contacts between universities to improve the process of education,” the Mayor said. Minsk and Changchun established twin-cities relations in 1992. Minsk grammar school N20 and grammar school N23 established partnership relations with Changchun schools. The Leninsky district of Minsk has cooperated with Nanguan district of Changchun for more than ten years. There are 18 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Minsk. Their authorized fund makes up $562 thousand. |
