The exact date when the transfer station Oktyabrskaya of Minsk metro will be closed because of the reconstruction has not been fixed yet. But specialists have already elaborated a range of moves to be implemented for passengers’ convenience.

The head of Minsk Metro, Georgy Yakimenko, said that with the beginning of the reconstruction trains would pass Oktyabrskaya station nonstop, but the stopping time at the stations Victory Square and Lenin Square would increase. In spite of this the total time from the first to the last station of the first metro line would stay as it is now. The closing of the station will entail an increased stream of passengers who will enter Kupalovskaya station from the side of supermarket Centralny. It is planned to involve more ticket collectors there.
