Nowadays Minsk observes a baby boom. Over a period January - September 2007 14.557 children were born in Minsk. If compared to 2006, the number of newly-born children has increased. Only 13.173 children were born in 2006. Birthrate leaders are Leninskiy and Partizanskiy districts, fewer children were born in Sovetskiy district.
