On April 22-24, Minsk will host the Belarusian-Russian business forum. The forum will be held under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BelTA learnt from head of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vasiliy Romanov. Vasiliy Romanov is sure that the event will give a powerful impetus to development of the trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation. Attending the forum will be around 100 Russian businessmen including representatives of chamber of commerce and industry of Russia, around 10 regional chambers of commerce and industry and more than 60 companies from various regions of the Russian Federation. During the first day of the business forum representatives of the Russian regional chambers of commerce and industry and businessmen will visit all the oblasts of Belarus. Their main goal is to establish business contacts at the regional level. A plenary session for participants of the forum will be held in Minsk on April 23. A number of roundtables, seminars, presentations and also negotiations between businessmen of Belarus and Russia will be held there as well. An agreement on cooperation in commercial arbitration between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to be signed. According to Vasiliy Romanov, over the recent years the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has established the most successful cooperation just with Russian regional chambers as the Russian Federation is the main market for Belarusian goods. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also has close relations with chambers of the CIS member states and first of all with Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan. Recently the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has started to establish promising relations with a number of chambers of the Middle Asian countries – Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. As for non-CIS countries, Vasiliy Romanov noted the cooperation with Korea, China, India, Vietnam and EU member states. |
