Belarussian State University has elaborated a radically new technology of obtaining drinking water from almost any polluted sources. As a laboratory chief of cellulose solution and its conversion products of Research Institute of Physico-Chemical Problems Dmitriy Grinshpan has told to a correspondent of the agency “Minsk-news” this technology is a unique know-how. Five mobile water purification units with productivity of 0,5-1 ton of water per hour and some hundreds of individual sets per 10-100 litres of water based on this technology have already been produced by the Research Institute in collaboration with the Ministry For Emergency Situations of The Republic of Belarus. Such units and sets can be used both in emergency situations of peace and war-time, as well as at the civilian objects – in areas where public water supply systems are not available. These technologies and units can be exported to the countries facing drinking water problems. |
