The presentation of a new book «Belarus. The resolutions and decrees of State Defence Committee of the USSR 1941-1945» will take place at the building of the National archive of Belarus on June 10, 2008.

The book consists of 345 unclassified documents of the State Defence Committee and contains information on formation of military units, military campaigns and acts, evacuation of troops at the beginning of the war, appointments of War Council members of fronts and armies.

The information about partisan movement administration, decrees of State Defence Committee of the period 1944-1945 concerning the questions of reconstruction of national economy, delivery and distribution of fuel, foodstuff, raw materials, exploitation of German prisoners of war and repatriation of population, is published for the first time.

The book is a joint project of Belarusian and Russian archivists. The documents which were used in the book are kept at the Russian State Archive of Social-Political History.
