Governance of the City

Minsk City Executive Committee is an executive and administrative body in the territory of Minsk.

The structure of the Executive Committee includes the Chairman of the Committee, his deputies, chief of administration and members of the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee exercise its powers in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus № 617-XII of February, 20 1999 «Local Government and Self-Government in the Republic of Belarus», the Law of the Republic of Belarus № 617-XII «The status of Minsk - the capital of the Republic of Belarus» and other legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus.

Minsk City Executive Committee is accountable to and under control of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Council of Ministers on the questions within the competence of the Government of the Republic of Belarus. The Executive Committee is responsible to the Minsk City Council of Deputies on the questions within the competence of the Council.
